Whoops, September totally sneaked up on me. Let’s flip the page and see what’s there.
All New X-Men
Oh boy, this is going to take a while. Last year Cyclops, longtime leader of the X-Men, killed his mentor Professor Charles Xavier while under the influence of the Phoenix Force. Cyclops is now running around like he’s some mutant revolutionary.
Cyclops’ longtime buddy and teammate The Beast decided the best way to make Cyke see the error of his ways was to go back in time and bring the original X-Men (left-hand image — Angel, Marvel Girl, Cyclops, Beast and Iceman) to the present. Makes perfect sense, doesn’t it?
And that’s the premise of “All New X-Men” — the original X-Men dealing with the present-day X-Men, including their older selves. You would think this would break the space-time continuum, but no one seems to care about that anymore.
For the second month in a row I had a difficult time finding the image on my Avengers movie calendar on the Internet. These pictures were not hard to find a year ago, so where did they go? Doesn’t anything posted on the Internet stay there forever?
In fact, when I finally found this image it was merged with another image and I had to do some judicious cropping to make it work. That’s too much effort for this dumb segment. But I do like the picture. And it’s pretty convenient that they put the Avenger Shield people on the month when Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. debuts on ABC. Don’t miss it.
