Let It Stop, Let It Stop, Let It Stop

Ode to The Polar Vortex

A poem by Rodney Dean Roy

The Polar Vortex hit our town
And all the snow came tumblin’ down
It caused a panic at the store
Of bread and milk, there is no more
The trucks came through to spread the salt
But traffic still came to a halt
‘Twould be easy to survive this hellish ordeal
Without so many idiots behind the wheel
Stuck in the house for three days straight
My lovely family I begin to hate.
The Polar Vortex just blew through

I hope it doesn’t happen to you
